Ray Hays reports on the "Southern Raider" and the loss of a crewman from the Auckland/Suva Yacht Race. Commodore Aubrey Montague, of the Royal Akarana Yacht Club, says the inexperience of the crews bringing yachts home may contribute to the difficulties such as experienced by those returning from the Auckland to Suva race. David Hines, of the Auckland Search and Rescue Co-ordination Centre, reports that the frigate Otago has rendezvoued with the disabled yacht, "Chicane".
