Berghan, Trevor (b.1914, d.1998), Interviewee

An interview with All Black Trevor Berghan in 1938 (or 1939), about the All Black's 1938 tour of Australia. There are various dates stamped on the record sleeves: 2 March 1936, 19 October 1938 and 2 August 1939.

The recording is split over three discs:

Disc 1 = rec 1 & 3
Disc 2 = rec 2 & 4
Disc 3 = rec 5

and contains two handwritten notes:

Rec 1 opens "Good evening ladies and gentlemen..."
Rec 1 ends "...or got on better than they did"

Rec 2 opens "Now, in the big games in Australia..."
Rec 2 ends "...must stand further away from the scrum"

Rec 3 opens "Now we can get on to Sullivan..."
Rec 3 closes "...and he made a very good job of it indeed"

Rec 4 opens "I know all the boys were very satisfied..."
Rec 4 closes "and for his size he was a very accurate place kicker"

Rec 5 opens "The Australian full-back..."
Rec 5 closes "...thanks very much Mr Berghan. Thank you very much."
