Fred Ladd a NZ aviator famed for his skill and aerial antics. In 38 years of flying he logged 21,000 hours flying time. Died at the age of 80 22/1/89. The interview includes anecdotes and historical references about NZ's early tourist flights, Jean Batten, how he began his career in flying, war reminiscences, flying throughout the South Pacific fighting bureaucracy when they told him he was too old to fly.
