National Radio (N.Z.) (estab. 1986, closed 2007)

Sam Wicks visits the four-day Christian music festival, PARACHUTE, that has become one of the biggest events on the New Zealand live music scene. Held at Mystery Creek, near Hamilton, Parachute 04 featured more than 100 bands, including many internationals, and covered the full spectrum of musical tastes - hip hop, punk rock, jazz, pop, reggae and worship. Parachute is the world's biggest Christian Music Festival outside of the USA.
This recording begins with the 4pm news, weather & mountain forecasts read by Janine Sudbury.
05'05" Parachute begins with music, then Sam Wicks talks to musicians, organisers, audience members etc at Parachute, interspersed with plenty of music.
