A programme series broadcast on Nelson's Community Access broadcaster, Fresh FM, called After The Fire.
It consists of interviews by the station's Takaka & Motueka community co-ordinator, Patrick Steer, with five Takaka residents about the fire which destroyed the Fonterra Dairy Factory in the town on 21 June 2005.
Tk 1. Mick Symmons, a volunteer with Search and Rescue, talks about the evacuation of residents on the night of the fire.
Tk 2. Ali Gardener, who lives right by the factory, was evacuated twice.
Tk 3. Midwife and nurse Wendy Hardwick, with her recollections of the night, including evacuating the hospital.
Tk 4. Community worker, Martine Boullir, who lives near the factory, talks about the day after the fire (eerily quiet in the town) and the fire itself.
Tk 5. Simon Dudley-Moore, student and family support worker, talks about his experiences on the night of the fire.
