- Irvine continued from TX718.
- Audrey Russell expresses her excitement. Car approaches her at Midland Hotel.
- Basham as Queen's car stops at the Town Hall. Queen alights and the Mayor greets her. Filling on crowds, etc.
- Venture at the Basin Reserve. Scene set, hospital, Government House, colleges, St. Marks, cricketers on to the grounds. Police car approaches.
- Flags come out as royal car enters the Basin Reserve.
- Ventura as car reaches the gates of Government House. Car disappears.
- Royal standard broken out on Government House flagstaff.

2) Queen's Day 11/01/1954 -
Wellington's formal welcome and wreath laying
- Fanfare at the Town Hall.
- Buckingham, scene set in Town Hall, flowers and decorations.
- Irvine at Basin Reserve, scene set on Government House gates, weather.
- Irvine as royal cars appears at the gates and into the Basin Reserve.
- Donaldson outside the Town Hall. Car approaches and stops. Party moves inside.
- Fanfare from trumpeters inside hall into cheering and applause. Buckingham describes scene as the Queen and Duke walk to the stage.
- Mayor's address.
- Queen's reply.
- School children sing "Long Live Elizabeth", faded out.
- Mayor presents gift of rugs.
- Ventura at the War Memorial as car arrives. Queen's frock. National anthem.
- Ventura and Queen and Duke lay a wreath.
- Buckingham, scene set from balcony at Parliament House. Car moves up Molesworth Streetand enters the grounds. Car stops. Royal salute, band plays the National Anthem. Queen inspects the Guard of Honour. Inspection ends. Queen and Duke enter Parliament House for the State luncheon.

- P.M. recalls the Treaty of Waitangi. Progress made since then.
- Leader of the Opposition seconds toast. Recalls speech in Westminster in 1937 by the Queen's late father.
- Nash on Britain's contribution to freedom, individual and national.
- Nash quotes speech by King George VI.
- Queen's reply.
