Ngāti Whakaue, Te Arawa, perform their competitive items (led by Joe Hakaraia) at the 1981 New Zealand Polynesian Festival.

1. CHORAL: Kahore ra he wahine (the well-known love song of Hinemoa and Tutanekai. Composed and music by the late Rt. Rev Frederick Augustus Bennett.)

2. WHAKAEKE: Tamakimakarau (originally composed by K.J. Hakaraia)

3. WAIATA-A-RINGA: Kia ora Ngāti Whatua (originally composed by Tenga Rangitauira)

4. WAIATA: He aha ra kei tooku ate e (classical dance of defiance by Korotiwha Taranui)

5. POI PATERE: Tera Koia Nga Uruwhetu (originally composed by P. Hakaraia)

6. HAKA TAIAHA: Kokiri te parewahawaha (this haka was composed to exhibit the taiaha. Originally composed by K.J. Hakaraia)

7. WHAKAWATEA: Kauwhata, Raukawa, e ora ana ki te aha.
