At the Waitangi Runanga Hui held at Turangawaewae Marae, Ripeka Evans spoke on
several major proposals at the final plenary session. The conference heard four keynote speeches on the moral, legal, political and historical aspects of the Treaty of Waitangi.

Haami Tooia of Northland presented a statement on the biblical aspects, especially on covenants and treaties.
