Opens with a song of welcome to Queen Elizabeth during one of her Royal visits to New Zealand. This particular visit was held at Rotorua. Sung by the Hokowhitu a Tū party. The legend of Marutūahu, son of Hotunui who came to New Zealand on the waka Tainui. Before Marutūahu was born, Hotunui had to leave his village of Kāwhia because of a false accusation. He moved to the Hauraki district and lived at a village called Whakatiwai. The story is about how Marutuahu went searching for his father and found himself a wife. He had three children, Tamatepō, from whom Ngāti Rongoū tribe began. Tamaterā, the second child, Ngāti Tamaterā tribe began, and from Whanaunga the third child, Ngāti Whanaunga tribe began.
