Pat Roberts introduces items for Māori Language Week.

- Waiata : Ka eke ki Wairaka.

- Tēnā koutou, is formal for good morning or how do you do. You use it for a group of people for the first time, or after a long separation.

- Use koutou for a group because there is more than two.

- three words that mean you in Māori, koe, for one, kōrua for two, one can hear the word "rua" meaning two, three or more we say koutou you can hear "tōu" a remnant of the word toru which means three.

- Kia ora is another word Robert speaks about. "Tātou" all of us together.

- Kia ora tātou. - Haere mai meaning come here, "ki" meaning to.
- atu meaning away, e noho rā, stay there.

- Robert goes on to explain simple phrases.
