The ordination of Rev Hapai Winiata into the ministry at the Rangiatea church was the first for sixty years. He was ordained by The Right Rev. Manuhuia Bennett, it was therefore fitting that the three tribes of the area, Te Ati Awa, Ngāti Raukawa and Ngāti Toa all participated in the traditional welcome to the visitors on the marae.

- Whetu Renata senior executive officer social services talks with Whai Ngata about training schemes for young Māori school leavers.

- Matiu Bennett an administrator in the ombudsman office in Wellington talks about the reformation of "The Young Māori Party" which did much at the turn of the century to ease the Māori entry into the Pakeha way of life.
