Continuation of the final interview with retiring president of the Māori Women's
Welfare League, Mrs. Mirika Zsaszy. She has beena dominant force in the Māori
World for the past twenty five years.Although she came humble beginnings in
the far north Mirika was the first Māori Women to gain a University degree.
Since then she has held important post in both the Māori and Pakeha worlds.

Mirika is currently lecturing at the Auckland Secondary Teachers College. She
continues with her kōrero about the work of the league, and the establsiment
of a liason with the New Zealand Māori Council.

Mira goes on to explain the meaning of their theme"Mauri hikitia, mauri hapaingia".
"spiritial renewal".
