Waiata-a-ringa: Wikitoria Tena Koutou and Nau Mai, Nau Mai - St. John's Māori Club

Kaikōrero: Hori Brennan, a local elder, addresses the Queen Victoria pupils. Dr Roger Duff, Director of Canterbury Museum asks if the girls learn Māori (they reply they do) and says he believes all primary school children in New Zealand should learn Māori. He comments on the 'fair appearance' of the local Māori and says he believes eventually all New Zealanders will have some Māori ancestry and be able to speak some of the language.

Waiata Kinaki: Kua rongo and A Tihei Mauri Ora - Queen Victoria School (Te Kura o Kuini Wikitoria).

Kaikōrero: Mrs Mary Wi Repa, a landscape artist, had an exhibition in Wellington recently. Ted Nepia interviews her about her art. She says she does not use Māori influences in her art currently, but is planning on painting old pa and various other Māori locations in future.

Waiata: Tahi Nei Taru Kino and Toia Mai Te Waka Nei - St Johns Māori Club.
