Nga Taonga o te Waipounamu - The Heirlooms of the South Island.

The exhibition at the Canterbury Museum.....includes Michael TROTTER,
Director of the Canterbury Museum, Tui Ranapiari Lynn Wiliams, and Riki Te Mairaki Ellison (recorded words).

Mokohi : a type of canoe.
- kaikōrero : Michael Trotter talks about some of the heirlooms and taonga in the Canterbury Museum.

- kaikōrero : Tui Ranapiri and Lynn Williams talk about the "Te Puawai tangata" the blossoming of the weaving held in the Museum. The Museum also hold taonga from some of the Pacific Islands.

- kaikōrero : Lynn Williams describing taonga that is held with in the Museum.

- kaikōrero : Riki Te Mairaki Ellison (died in 1984) however his taonga of words live onto inform and inspire the younger generation...He talks about his Marae "Tu Ahuriri", and other outlying areas.
