Toki [Toke] Wātene of Kōpu, near Thames tells the story of the arrival of the Tainui canoe, and gives his whakapapa, from his earliest ancestors to the five sons of Marutuahu (Tamatapoe, Tamatera, Whanaunga, Te Ngako and Tauru Kapakapa), and then through each of these sons to himself. This is told in Māori (tks 3-7), then repeated in English .
