Contralto Phyllis (Kirimamae) Williams, introduces the programme. She sends greetings from New Zealand and then introduces the songs.
First is an action song welcoming the Māori Pioneer Battalion home to New Zealand after World War I. She performs "Kia ora rā koutou" with piano accompaniment.

Next is a story of a tribal chieftain who leaves to learn from the Pākehā but on his return, finds his people do not want his Pākehā knowledge. He laments with a song called: 'Auē, auē, auē'.

A modern East Coast waiata which was sung during World War II telling the people to unite in their war effort: Pa mai.

And now an old Māori rhyme with actions: Tahi piti.
