Rory Newsam reports on the full cost and type of aid to be sent to Samoa
following the devastation caused by Cyclone Ofa. He talks about the state
of emergency in Samoa, about New Zealand aid to the country and talks to
the Associate Minister of External Relations and Trade and Associate
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fran Wilde. They discuss the launching of a
public appeal for Cyclone Ofa victims. Luelemanu Tino Pereira reports from
Western Samoa on the devastation caused by Cyclone Ofa. He talks to Mark
Hannan. American Peace Corp volunteer Karen Wallace talks to Leulemana Tino
Pereira about her experiences during Cyclone Ofa. Leulemana Tino Pereira
talks to Geoff Robinson about the relief effort now under way in cyclone
devastated Western Samoa. They also talk about the RNZAF airlift operation
and the visit of the Islands by Prince Phillip. Leoni Sefilino talks to
Luelemana Tino Pereira about the total destruction Cyclone Ofa brought to
her village.
