Renshaw Edwards

Heather Church reports that the Serious Fraud Office will be laying charges
against Upper Hutt solicitor Pat Renshaw. The charges pertain to
irregularities found by partners in a trust account of the law firm
Renshaw Edwards. Clients funds of up to thirty million dollars are
involved, with an estimated loss of ten million dollars. Heather Church
speaks with the Director of the Serious Fraud Office, Chas Sturt. Mr Sturt
stresses the need for a thorough investigation of the law firm.

Sarah Lockie reports that Upper Hutt lawyers are rallying to help out
clients suffering as a result of the Renshaw Edwards case. She speaks with
Upper Hutt lawyer Peter Richardson. Mr Richardson says local lawyers are
uniting to offer free legal advice to former clients of Renshaw Edwards.
