This recording features a play entitled "Like A Moorish Trumpet". It is based on the arrival of Abel Tasman's to New Zealand in 1642, and the tragedy that resulted from his aborted attempt to land. The play looks at this event from the Dutch and Māori points of view. It was written by Vincent O'Sullivan and produced by Carol Dee during October 1992, and broadcast on Concert FM on the 14th of December 1992.

This programme was a winner in the "Best Spoken Programme - Best Dramatic Production" category of the 1993 Mobil Radio Awards.
