The police yesterday released further details on the seven deaths at a
Paerata farm. Police say Brian Schlaepfer used a knife as well as guns
when he killed six members of his family and himself, and they have
discovered what could be a suicide note written by Schlaepfer. The note
makes it clear Schlaepfer intended killing every member of his family he
could find on the farm. Jenny Woods i/vs Detective Senior Sergeant John
Gott, one of the policement involved in the inquiry.
Pukekohe Victims Support worker Raewyn Clark has spent time with nine-
year old Linda Schlaepfer, the sole survivor of the tragedy. Ms Clark
speaks to Kim Hill.
