The "No Brainer" advertisement showed a male clubber who, having removed a part of his brain, proceeds to cut and snort it as though it was methamphetamine.

A final graphic said: "Every day more and more people are lining up to destroy themselves. If you need help phone 0508 NSADNZ www.nsadnz.org.nz".

The Complainants said it was so graphic that it was indecent and offensive.

Code of Ethics, Basic Principle 4 and Rules 5 and 11.

The Complaints Board said it was a robust advocacy advertisement, had been prepared with a due sense of social responsibility, and was classified as AO by TVCAB.

Decision: Complaint Not Upheld
