Fiji's interim Prime Minister Voreque Frank Bainimarama has spoken publicly about his order to expel the New Zealand High Commissioner, and criticised the New Zealand Government for not understanding how Fiji politics works. Fiji's freely elected Government was recently overthrown by Bainimarama in a military coup. A new Palestinian Government is to be sworn in that does not feature members of Hamas. Hamas has recently engaged in fighting with Fatah in Gaza and taken control of the area. Hamas was elected to power in the last Palestinian democratic election. Tim Franks (BBC.
