100 years after Red Deer were introduced into New Zealand for the leisure pursuits of the gentry in 1851, New Zealand is overrun with the animals and on the brink of a huge ecological disaster. A solution was needed and this story of men and machines, of incredible daring and ingenuity begun as a diverse band of Kiwi adventurers and entrepreneurs become the first in the world to trial and perfect the practice of using helicopters and light aircraft to cull live deer.
