Promotional film on the Auckland Sheltered Workshop at Mangere, offering therapy and assistance to the disabled. Over 200 trainees are helped by 20 supervisors to produce goods for industry. Many workers are being helped to eventually go out into the workforce.

Workers are putting together discs of sandpaper for a company. They are then shrink wrapped in packages on site. Some complex machines are used in the workshop. Recycling of headsets for Air New Zealand is carried out. Packaging for Benson and Hedges cigarette company is carried out, including cigarettes and complimentary glasses. Electrical work is undertaken, including jug elements. Elements will go direct to retailers. The workshop has designed and produced trailer lights.
