From 12th to 15th March 2008 Auckland Secondary Schools got together for their annual Maori and Pacific Island's cultural festival better know simply as ' PolyFest'. A huge event that's been going for the last 33 years, this unique cultural festival features traditional music, dance, costume and speeches that allow you to experience the South Pacific.
PolyFest is the largest Maori and Pacific Island's Cultural Festival in the world, with over 100,000 people attending! Featuring an astonishing quality of competitors who come from a multitude of cultures to compete in dance and speeches, it's about the passion and pride they have for their heritage, and the discipline and commitment to become the best in the country.
