Opening Titles: “Dobie Blaze presents”, “Kiss Da Cook” and “From Hostal Galicia, La Marina, Elche, Alicante, Spain”.

The preparation of cockles (“berberechos” to the Spanish) is shown, set to the music of Fat Freddy’s Drop. (The tune is the unreleased “Shuk”). The ingredients are named onscreen as chef Manolo adds them to the frying pan; “Olive oil & Garlic”, “Parsley”, “Fried Onion”, “Tomato puree”, “Fresh cockles”, “Cognac” and “Fish stock”.

Fat Freddy’s Drop dine on the finished “Cockles Galicia”.

Then, back in Wellington, their keyboardist Dobie Blaze recreates the meal in a wok in a garden by the sea on the South Coast. Again the band savour the result.

This was an entry in the 2005 Handal The Jandal music video competition.

Subsequent episodes would deal with Lunch In Puglia, Italy (on the same European tour) and Paua Wontons.
