''Outrageous Fortune chronicles the lives of the West family, who have always done things the less-than-legal way. However, when Dad Wolfgang West gets sent to jail for four years, his family receives a very sharp wake-up call.
Mum Cheryl decides that it is time for her family to get out of the crime game once and for all. No more robbing, ripping people off or lying. However, for this family, breaking the habits of a lifetime is much easier said than done.

A hurricane called Arthur means that Milt needs to return to America as soon as he can get a flight. But in the midst of this emergency, Cheryl and Loretta discover something of greater magnitude: Pascalle has yet to have sex with her husband. The reason? He has such high blood pressure, Pascalle fears she could kill him with her body. Loretta is keen to encourage conjugal relations if it means Pascalle will end up as a rich widow. Wolf, however, suspects that Milt is some kind of conman. After Jethro refuses to check on him, he hires Judd to do a background check.

Wolf has other business to deal with, like settling that divorce. He wants 50/50. Cheryl is horrified to find that means half the house and half of her share of the business. She’s furious, but Jethro advises calm. He’s aware that Sheree and Wolf are house hunting, so he suspects they must have money hidden somewhere. As soon as the house is purchased, Cheryl can go Wolf for half his assets as well. As this is confirmed, Cheryl reluctantly takes the advice and tries to keep her cool.

Pascalle meanwhile feels increasing pressure to consummate her marriage with Milt, who fears that he may not return from the hurricane zone. As Pascalle angsts over what to do . . .

Munter, meanwhile, has noticed that Van seems down on it. Kasey fears that she’s the cause, but Munter thinks Van is just lonely. Kasey’s solution is to hire a hooker friend so Van can hook up with her. But as Pascalle muses on her own relationships, she and Loretta realise it’s a year since Aurora’s death. Pascalle insists that they go to the pub to comfort Van and Loretta recognises Hayley. Pascalle, appalled at Kasey’s insensitivity, sends Hayley packing. Kasey feels bad, but when Munter makes apologies, he finds that Van is no longer grieving. He thinks he might be ready for a relationship. Kasey takes this in hand: she knows just the woman and she’ll set it up. But Rochelle is appalled to be set up with Van and bails on the dinner date. And now Munter finds the real reason for Van’s melancholy is that he misses guy hanging time with his best friend Munter. Kasey relieved, insists they must hang immediately . . .

By now Wolf has had no joy from Judd on the case of Milt the shyster. So Wolf decides to take matters into his own hands and take Milt out on the town. Van and Munter are finally doing guy-bonding, when they’re swept up into the posse and off to a strip club (where Van meets Hayley again, and finally gets his end away).

More importantly, Pascalle fears the worst for her beloved that Wolf is trying to kill her husband by raising his blood pressure. Cheryl takes Wolf to task, but in her anger loses her cool and reveals that she’s planning to go him for half of whatever is his. Wolf tucks this information away, as Milt tired of being baited, leaves.

But in one respect, Wolf’s message has got through. Milt now lets Pascalle know that if she wants to bail on the relationship, that’s fine with him. But Pascalle has decided that’s not what she wants, at all, and in fact, they should make love. Right now. But as they start on this very thing, Milt drops from her arms. Dead.''
