This amateur home movie is part of the Dame Gaylene Preston Collection. This recording by Chelsie Preston-Crayford (daughter of Gaylene) captures the journey to Palmerston North for the shooting of an episode of PROJECT Q.

Chelsie Preston-Crayford (daughter of Dame Gaylene Preston and presenter on Project Q) films herself in the backseat of a car travelling to Palmerston North from Wellington via State Highway 1. Tessa Devereux (presenter on Project Q) sits beside her, with Nige [relationship unknown] in the front seat and Mathew Knight (camera for Project Q) driving. Topics spoken about include; boy racers, getting told off by their parents, and camera problems. They all play I Spy together and tease Nige about his sunglasses. Scenes of Paraparaumu, including the statue of the Virgin Mary. They play a ‘guess the celebrity’ game.

Chelsie films a group of adults having a discussion before walking into a milking shed to greet and pet the cows. Chelsie is told off for filming in the shed. Her and Nige act as aliens and play with their shadows. Chelsie and Tessa enter a paddock and attempt to get the attention of a flock of sheep, while being directed by Lala Rolls for an episode of PROJECT Q.
