The footage begins with a group of people, recreational fishing at sea from a boat. Shots of fish and seagulls as well as nearby islands can be seen.
A large fish [marlin] is seen strung up on a boat in port near the Whangarei Deep Sea Anglers Club with people looking on.
A woman sits on a porch of a house with a view out to sea.
A large kauri tree is felled with a chainsaw in a forested area.
A young girl in a dress and bow in her hair walks on a lawn towards the camera.
The scene returns to kauri tree logs in a mill and then being taken away on a red truck.
Other trees [pine] are felled by men and lifted onto a truck.
A line of men pose for the camera on the roadside and the sign ‘C R LOVATT & SONS LTD’ can be seen in the background.
