New Zealand film and television celebrities arrive at the Auckland Civic Theatre. The hosts for the evening are Susan Wood and Tim Balme. Dave Dobbyn and Annie Crummer perform an opening song “It Dawned On Me.” At least 40 awards are to be presented in what is said to be one of the most successful years in the New Zealand Entertainment Industry.
