At the Bell Tea Co. factory in Dunedin, tea is cleaned, blended, sieved, mixed, packaged and tested. Empty cases are cut down for reuse. In the storage room, which holds over 10 tons of tea, the tea is weighed, packed and labelled ready for distribution.
Packaging of half-pound packets of tea is also shown.

N.Z. INDUSTRIES TEA PACKING AND BLENDING
Narration includes:
Having had a peak into the tea testing room
We are now in the factory where you see the various operations
Of cleaning, blending and packing
The tea is now being sieved
And any large leaves cut to an even length
Also the process of removing the dust and the fibre from the tea
Starts here
The tea now falls by gravity
Into the mixing machine on the floor below
You will notice that the tea itself
Has not been touched by anyone
Before showing you the mixer
You will first see
How the empty cases are dealt with
In this factory
