This silent black and white amateur 16mm film is believed to have been shot around 1947 and 1948 in the city of Auckland. From the home movie collection of dairy farmer and agricultural contractor John Herbert Ferguson OBE from East Tamaki.

Wedding at unidentified church. Bride and Groom lead out wedding guests. Later scenes of wedding guests in residential garden.

Street parade likely filmed during Otahuhu Centennial Week celebrations in November 1948: horse-drawn carts and carriages with people dressed in 19th Century costumes; Naval Cadets band and cadets marching with sloped rifles; soldiers marching with sloped rifles; float for the Order of St John led by two knights on horseback in costume armour, carrying lances and shields
