KAHO NAA ... PYAAR HAI (Say ... You Love Me) was the highest-grossing Indian film of 2000 and put New Zealand-location shooting on the Bollywood map.

The heroine flies Air New Zealand to NZ, circa 1hr 25m, for a surprise encounter with the doppelgänger of a dead lover at the traffic lights (Worcester St bridge, Christchurch). Then it’s off to “the best disco in New Zealand” beside the New World supermarket....

The highlight is a mountain reverie with a lovely tune and a goat-scattering dance above Queenstown. Song is “Na Tum Jaano Na Hum” sung by Lucky Ali & Ramya (at aprox. 1hr 42min - or Chapter 22, or Song 6, on the dvd menu.)

Directed by Rakewsh Roshan and starring son Hrithik Roshan in his debut role. The two would make further successful films together.
