The Royal New Zealand Ballet perform at Sadler’s Wells Theatre, London, on the company’s 50th Anniversary tour. ‘Milagros’ - meaning miracles - is choreographer Javier de Frutos’ staging of Stravinsky’s ‘Rite of Spring’ and uses a pianola recording of the score.

Twelve dancers move “in simple circles and daisy chains. Yet the tension in their bodies and outbreaks of raw reflex violence warn of a collective overheating of emotion ... Milagros ranks as one of the great Rites.” - Reviewer Judith Mackrell, The Guardian; www.theguardian.com/stage/2004/apr/29/dance; retrieved 15/08/2013.

“Nominated for best new dance production in the 2005 UK Laurence Olivier Awards and Best Choreography (Modern) at Britain’s Critic’s Circle Dance Awards.” - The Royal New Zealand Ballet website; http://rnzb.org.nz/shows/stravinsky-selection/; retrieved 5/11/2015.
