Documentary chronicling the events at the World War Two prisoner of war camp near Featherston that saw 49 POWs killed.

Former POW Toshio Adachi’s attempts to construct a memorial at the camp.
John Stitchbury, of the RSA Greytown, and Maartje Castle-Swartjes protests towards the planned memorial. Japanese actors in Hamilton to take part in Vincent O’Sullivan’s play, Shuriken, based upon the above events. The play, directed by Marc Shaw, runs in to difficulties when businesses are discouraged from sponsoring the event. Travels to Tokyo where it is performed.
