Lawyer Michael Bungay presents a series examining unusual murder cases in New Zealand.

THE PAEKAKARIKI MURDER: On 17 March 1976 Gail McFadyen saw her husband Graham off from where they were living at Paekakariki camping ground, to his new teaching job at Kapiti College. When Graham came home Gail was nowhere to be found and was later found strangled in QEII Park. A groundsman John Murphy was later convicted on circumstantial evidence for her murder.

Includes news footage and reconstruction as well as interviews with Superintendent Ian Holyoake; and former Detective Sergeant Brian Tooney.
