Niue art exhibition, Auckland: An interview with artist Koreen Cross, and her mother Ahi Cross, on Koreen’s work that attempts to revive the lost tradition of Tapa making. Ahi Cross is a well known weaver whose use of traditional design has been blended with modern colour and shapes to create contemporary pieces that go beyond the solely utilitarian. She is interested in the revival of these crafts.
