John Scott, head of Red Cross and his partner of 22 years, Greg Scrivener, are murdered in their home in Suva, Fiji.
A number of people were at the house on the evening of the murders, and three men have been detained so far.
There is speculation as to the possible motives for the murders, whether it is political or personal.
John Scott was about to take part as a key witness in the treason trial against Speight. He was also an openly practising homosexual in a country where this is illegal.
