Banshee Reel were a New Zealand band based in Wellington whose roots lay in Country, Irish and Celtic music. The group was active throughout the 1990’s and released two albums titled “Culture Vulture” and “An Orchestrated Litany of Lies”. The band members consisted of Allan Clark, Gavin Duncan, Andrew Moen, Chris O’Connell, Tony Coughlan and Julia Deans who would go on to perform in Fur Patrol.

This is the music video for “Lament” from the album “An Orchestrated Litany of Lies” which was released in 1995.

In this black and white video a young girl builds a bonfire upon a beach while the band members walk through the sand dunes. Later the band walk through a graveyard while the young girl watches them perched on tree branches.
