THE NAKED BUM

“The Naked Bum is the fourth in the "Naked" series of documentaries by Raconteur Productions. Producer, Veronica McCarthy, says the aim of the original series was to " … expose the fears and misinformation that surrounds our bodies and bodily functions [as well as] … getting people to open up a bit more."

New Zealanders from a wide range of backgrounds and professions are asked for their thoughts on the bum – both their own and other people’s. And one of the first questions to be posed is: Does anyone have the perfect bum? Todd from Route 66, who put Anna Kournikova in a pair of jeans when she was in New Zealand last year, says, "I thought that was getting … pretty close to an ultimate bum." However according to Mr Howard Klein, an aesthetic plastic surgeon, Kiwi rears should protrude with pride. ‘In New Zealand, the tightness of the bum is remarkable because so many people are in such outstanding aerobic condition …’ (Publicity)
