A documentary on Fiji, showing the nation as a multi-cultural society.

Discusses Fiji's Independence - Fiji became a possession of Britain in 1874, a deed which guaranteed the people security of land ownership. 96 years later Fijians still own 82% of land, but it is developed by outsiders and commercial companies.

Concern about racial tension is reason enough for some non- Fijians to return to their own country, others would like to remain.

Tourism, sugar cane industry and the cultural differences of Fijians, and the Indian people living there, are issues addressed.
