“In 1967 when colour television was launched in the UK, it wasn't possible to drop into your local 'out-of-town' superstore and buy a colour tv and take it home yourself, it had to be installed, and it could be quite a complicated process. So, the BBC and BREMA got together and made the Colour Television Receiver Film ... The purpose of the film was to give retailers an idea of how a colour tv should be installed. The film was transmitted several times a day on BBC2 during trade tests. It was also shown on BBC1 UHF during the trade tests for colour in late 1969. - Alexandra Palace Television Society; apts.org.uk; 22/11/2011.

Introductory narration: “This is a film to familiarise engineers with some differences between the colour television receiver and the monochrome receiver from the point of view of adjustment and installation. Viewers should not attempt to make any adjustments to the receiver other than by means of the ordinary controls provided. The film will be in five main parts: Receiving The Signal, Preliminary Checks And Adjustments, Convergence, Reference White And Grey Scale, and General Instructions To Viewers. They will be repeated throughout normal trade test periods ... “
