Lindsay Perigo presents the issues of the day in depth. “The Government’s education revamp may leave primary and secondary schools $50 million short next year. That’s according to teachers at the PPTA annual conference in Wellington. They say the new school boards have not been given enough money to cope with their extra responsibilities under Tomorrow’s Schools. And they say some school boards are facing a $100,000 shortfall next year. This report from Jacqueline Marr.”

Lindsay Perigo interviews Ruth Chapman, PPTA President, in the studio.

“Sir Ron Brierley is to stand down as Chairman of the investment company he founded 30 years ago. Saying he’s getting stale in the top job, Sir Ron will continue as a Director of BIL and be appointed Founder President. Bruce Hancox will take over as Chairman at the start of next year, he’s the company’s present Deputy Chairman. Jim Greenhough reports”.
