Audit office investigating Whakaari Development Limited a sub committee of Te Arawa Trust Board. The company did not apply prudent lending criteria when it advanced a loan to them to finance the building of kitset home to send to Hawaii. Koro Wetere, Minister of Maori Affairs says the investigation shows that the management had mishandled the loan.
