A five part documentary series about the people, flora, fauna and landscape of Aotearoa before the arrival of Captain Cook in 1769. This episode looks at the story of the Maori which begins elsewhere in Polynesia. Here they learnt navigational skills and Maori conceptions about the landscape and its creatures and about people.
